The Champions Trophy 2025 schedule has not yet been finalized, but the location of the eagerly awaited India vs Pakistan match has been guaranteed. For Team India’s tournament matches, the UAE will act as a neutral host.
India will play their matches at the Dubai International Stadium, where one of the semi-finals and the championship match will be held if Rohit Sharma’s squad makes it to the knockout stages.
Currently on holiday in Sindh’s Ghotki district, Sheikh Nahyan met with Naqvi, Pakistan’s interior minister, to finalize administrative and logistical plans for the event that Pakistan is hosting.
Where will India play the Champions Trophy in 2025?
India will not be travelling to Paksitan as the UAE has been decided as the netral venue of the Champions Trophy 2025.
“The PCB has picked the UAE as a neutral venue for the Champions Trophy,” PCB spokesperson Amir Mir said.
“The PCB has formally informed the ICC about the neutral venue decision. Now, India and Pakistan’s Champions Trophy matches will be held in the UAE. The decision regarding the neutral venue for the Champions Trophy was to be made by the host, Pakistan. The final decision on the venue was made after a meeting between Mohsin Naqvi and Sheikh Al Nahyan. Sheikh Al Nahyan, currently in Pakistan, is also the Chairman of the UAE Cricket Board,” he added.
What is Hybrid Model in Champions Trophy?
The ICC has confirmed that the 2025 Champions Trophy, set to be hosted by Pakistan, will follow a hybrid model. As a result, the high-profile India vs. Pakistan match will be held at a neutral venue, not in Pakistan, in line with the BCCI’s request.
