PBKS best bowling line-up for IPL 2025: Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal to lead “best-attack”

IPL 2025: Under the leadership of Arshdeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal, PBKS could emerge as the best bowling unit.

PBKS had the highest money going into the IPL Auction, and did an excellent job at the end of the day, to assemble a squad that would be good enough to challenge every other team in the IPL 2025. For starters, they got Shreyas Iyer for a massive 26.75 Cr, and yet had enough money in the bank, to come up with a well-rounded group.

It would really be hard to pick, if it is a batting-centric or bowling-strong unit, but certainly a one that has players who can win matches for them, when the need arises. Talking specifically about bowling, their attack would be led by Arshdeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal, with the others to follow. InsideSport takes a look at how PBKS bowling unit could look like.

Arshdeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal — The Spearheads

Arshdeep Singh, over the years has played 65 matches in the IPL and picked up 76 wickets at an economy of 9.02. He will be their main fast bowler without any doubt. On the other hand, the team invested heavily in Chahal, who was not retained by RR. Anyways, he is the most successful IPL bowler and last year, in 15 matches he picked up 18 wickets.

Choice Between Lockie Ferguson and Marco Jansen

Now, PBKS have a problem of plenty. They have a lot of foreign stars in their ranks, who can fill multiple slots and two such players are Lockie Ferguson and Marco Jansen. While both can be equally good — Jansen might make the cut due to his all-round abilities. In 86 T20 matches so far, the South African has picked up 93 wickets, and even scored 703 runs. He can be devastating with the bat.

Say Yes to Marcus Stonis, Harpreet Brar, Vijaykumar Vyshak

These three bowlers will just make PBKS unbeatable. Stoinis, though an all-rounder, can come up with decent 2-3 overs as the situation demands. As far Vyshak, he could be sharing the new ball with Arshdeep. In his 11 matches for RCB, he picked up 13 wickets. Lastly, Harpreet Brar is a run-saver. Although in 41 matches he has picked up only 25 wickets only, but his economy rate stands only at 7.90 overall. That is just brilliant for a slow bowler in IPL.

Expect a Lot from Suryansh Shedge

Not to forget, Mumbai youngster Suryansh Shedge. The fast-bowling all-rounder made a name for himself in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy recently, where not only he batted well, but also picked up eight wickets in nine matches. He had an economy rate of 9.27.
