Mohammed Shami and Pat Cummins First Picks
Most likely, Pat Cummins will be the skipper once again, so he gets in automatically, and so does Mohammed Shami. The latter has been playing in the domestic matches since his return, but hasn’t gotten a fitness clearance from BCCIs medical team for the IND vs AUS series, but in SMAT, in nine matches he returned with 11 wickets. His economy was 7.85, and SRH attack won’t be complete without him.
Brydon Carse Or Jaydev Unadkat?
Hyderabad should avoid the folly of picking up Unadkat over Brydon Carse. The English player is an all-rounder and can chip in with the bat lower down the order. In 78 T20s, he has picked up 44 wickets, and 746 runs as well. On the other hand, Unadkat had a poor season with Hyderabad this year, when in 11 matches he picked up only eight wickets. The latter might get a look ahead still, due to foreign player rule in the IPL.
Adam Zampa or Rahul Chahar?
Another big choice that the team management will have to make is — which leg-spinner to play — Zampa or Rahul Chahar? Both are good on their day, and Zampa will be the preferred choice, but again, the foreign player rule will kick in. So most likely, it will be the Indian who makes the cut.
Harshal Patel and Nitish Reddy Certainties
IN SMAT, Harshal Patel was excellent for Haryana, where in 7 matches he picked up 11 wickets. Nitish Kumar Reddy has shown in the IND vs AUS series, that he can be effective with the ball. So, these two will be in the SRH XI for sure, and make their presence felt.
