Anmolpreet Singh is the next player to watch out for in the domestic circuit. The Andhra Pradesh player made headlines on the opening day of the Vijay Hazare Trophy by scoring the third-fastest century in List A cricket.

Who is Anmolpreet Singh?

Anmolpreet Singh, born on March 28, 1998, is an Indian cricketer representing Punjab in domestic cricket. He made his IPL debut on September 19, 2021, against the Chennai Super Kings. In the 2023 Indian Premier League auction, he was acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs. 20 lakh. But, this time, he has went unsold in the IPL 2025 auction.

Anmolpreet Singh register his name in record books

In the Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Arunachal Pradesh in Ahmedabad, Anmolpreet Singh took charge after skipper Abhishek Sharma fell in the second over. He reached his century in style, smashing 11 fours and eight sixes. Arunachal Pradesh’s bowlers struggled to contain the onslaught, with left-arm spinner Hardik Verma being the most economical at 9.52 runs per over. Off-spinner Techi Neri bore the brunt of Anmolpreet’s aggression, conceding 31 runs in a single over.

Punjab won by nine wickets after chasing down Arunachal Pradesh’s modest total of 164 in just 12.5 overs thanks to Anmolpreet’s scorching innings. After hitting his ton, he added another six and a four to remain undefeated at 115 off 45 balls. Opening with Abhishek, Prabhsimran Singh gave strong assistance with an undefeated 35 off 25 balls.
