Australia’s lowest scores in Tests at home

Many things are currently happening in the IND vs AUS 3rd Test, and in the process, we saw Australia showing intent on Day 5, trying to capitalize with their batting. However, they could only manage 89 runs, marking one of their lowest Test scores at home.

Australia made 89 runs and decided to declare as they looked to give it a try, seeing what they could do to capitalize on Day 5 of the third Test between India and Australia. They had done everything right in the first innings of batting, but in the closing hours of bowling on Day 4, they lost their grip on the game. The match has been a seesaw ride, as India, who initially didn’t look like favorites for this Gabba Teste, specially after their top-order collapse, now appear to be in a position where a draw is possible. After putting 260 runs on the board, thanks to Jasprit Bumrah and Kashyap, Australia came out to bat with the intention of extending their lead, but they could do no more, managing only 89 runs before declaring. This marks one of their lowest scores in Test cricket at home. Although this isn’t the first time, as we’ve seen some of Australia’s lowest scores at home in Test cricket history.
