While bowling the 33rd over, Siraj walked past Labuschagne and switched the bails at his end, disrupting the batter’s focus. Just when Siraj moved back for his run-up, Labuschagne quickly reversed the bail once more. The Gabba crowd cheered for the Australian number three. But little did they know that Siraj’s trick worked.
The Australian batter’s concentration was broken, and he struggled to regain his application. Five balls later this incident, Labushagne head straight back to the pavilion as Virat Kohli caught him in the slips, sealing Labuschagne’s fate. It was Nitish Kumar Reddy’s outswinging ball that undid the 30-year-old.
