Nathan McSweeney made his Test debut for the Australia Cricket Team in the Border Gavaskar Trophy series. And as fate would have it, he has been dismissed for his 4th time by Jasprit Bumrah. In fact, all the times he has been dismissed in red-ball cricket, it has come against the Indian ace speedster.
Jasprit Bumrah has been a class apart in this series so far. He has been spearheading India’s pace attack in the BGT 2024 and showcased his worth time and again against the Aussies. But what is interesting is that Bumrah makes Nathan McSweeney his bunny so fat in Test cricket.

Jasprit Bumrah failed to trouble the young Nathan McSweeney on Day 1. With just 13 overs being bowled, Bumrah couldn’t trouble the opener as the rain gods opened up and the day was washed off. But come Day 2, it was a different affair.
The sky remained clear and with the pitch picking up pace, it was Bumrah who struck early. He first dispatched Usman Khawaja and then wasted no time to send McSweeney packing.
A proper delivery and Bumrah was able to get the better of McSweeney. A short-of-a-length ball and McSweeny with a front-foot defense give out a thick outside edge. And Virat Kohli takes a good catch. And with that, McSweeney’s all dismissals in Test Cricket has come at the hands of Bumrah.
