Who knew a match day could be such a dampener? The match was between India and Australia, but the winner of the 1st day was rain. The Gabba looked grim on December 14. Let’s talk more about the Test. Two greats of the game talked about two current stalwarts. One said that Rohit Sharma opted to bowl first because he’s afraid to open, and another said Jasprit Bumrah should leave Test cricket. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli broke another record. In the domestic circuit, Madhya Pradesh captain Rajat Patidar expressed his desire to lead Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Lastly, the International Cricket Board (ICC) has fooled the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), according to a former Pakistan cricketer.

Day 1 of Gabba Test washed out

Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bowl first. Team India made two changes while Australia made one. The good thing is the weather forecast for Day 2 looks much better.

Bumrah should leave Tests to save his body?

Shoaib Akhtar, the fastest bowler to ever grace the sport, feels Jasprit Bumrah should leave the longest format of the game. The reasoning behind it was that Bumrah would have to toil hard in Test cricket and that it would result in more injuries. Akhtar instead suggests the unorthodox pacer focus more on white-ball cricket and extend his career.

He feels PCB would miss a trick by accepting and should get more out of the deal.

Rajat Patidar ready to captain RCB

Madhya Pradesh (MP) captain and RCB batter, Rajat Patidar, is ready to take responsibility and lead the franchise in the IPL 2025 season. Patidar has already taken MP to the SMAT Final, winning eight of the nine matches. He might be the best captaincy option for RCB for the next edition and can take the team forward from where Faf du Plessis left off.
