After a dampener of a first day, things are expected to look much better on Day 2 of the India vs Australia 3rd Test. The weather gods weren’t kind on opening day as the rain saw just one hour of play at The Gabba in Brisbane. The weather forecast looks promising for tomorrow (December 15), and we might get to see 98 overs worth of action.
The match did start on time despite the forecast suggesting otherwise, but after just 30 minutes, play was halted. It resumed but only momentarily as players had to go off due to rain once again. Things never got back on track from there on. Considering that rain doesn’t return, the players will have to spend around an hour extra on the field for the remaining four days.
