India Playing XI: Jadeja, Akash Deep finally get chance for India in Gabba Test

For the first time in this Border Gavaskar Trophy, Akash Deep and Ravindra Jadeja feature for Team India

The India Cricket Team has made 2 changes in their Playing XI for the IND vs AUS 3rd Test at the Gabba. For the first time in this Border Gavaskar Trophy, Ravindra Jadeja will be playing the game. He goes on to replace his fellow spin partner Ravichandran Ashwin. On the other hand, Akash Deep comes and replaces Harshit Rana.

“The guys are looking forward to the match, we’re looking forward to coming out here and playing. Looks a little soft at this point in time, conditions bit overcast as well, it will get better to bat as it goes on. We’ve made two changes, Jadeja and Akash back in place of Ashwin and Harshit,” Rohit Sharma said during the toss.

Jadeja, Akash Deep In, Ashwin, Rana Out

The visitors have made two changes to their Playing XI. For the first time in the series, India is featuring a leg spinner in the game in the form of Ravindra Jadeja. In the first game, Washington Sundar played who was later replaced by Ravi Ashwin in the Pink Ball Test in Adelaide.

Coming to the pace attack, there is also a change. Akash Deep makes it for the first time in this series in the team. Young pacer Harshit Rana was featured in both the previous test matches. But come the Gabba Test, it is now time for the Hit the Deck bowler.
