The 17th edition of the SMAT 2024 began on November 23 with 32 teams in the fray.
The top-ranked teams (5) and the best second-placed team (1) directly qualified for the quarter-finals. The remaining four second-placed teams featured in the pre-quarters, with the winners of those fixtures completing the last-eight line-up.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh advanced to the semi-finals after a thrilling victory over Saurashtra, chasing down the target with six wickets and four balls to spare.
Mumbai successfully chased 222 against Vidarbha, winning by six wickets with four balls remaining.
Ajinkya Rahane led the charge with an 84-run knock off 45 balls, forming an explosive 83-run partnership with Prithvi Shaw in just seven overs. Dipesh Parwani dismissed Shaw, who scored a quickfire 49 off 26 balls with five fours and four sixes, momentarily slowing Mumbai’s momentum.
Finally, Delhi stormed into the semi-finals after defeating Uttar Pradesh by 19 runs, with Anuj Rawat impressing everyone with an unbeaten 73 off 33 balls.
