Indian bowlers with most wickets in Pink Ball Test

The Pink Ball Test match offers significant advantages to bowlers, as the conditions assist both pacers and spinners in challenging the batters.

The Pink Ball Test presents India’s next big challenge following their emphatic victory in the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Perth, showcasing their ability to win under any conditions. However, the upcoming Day/Night Test poses a fresh challenge for the Indian cricket team, with tougher conditions expected. The format and pitch are likely to favor pacers, putting bowlers at the forefront.

India has played four Pink Ball Tests so far, with experienced players like R Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah having performed in diverse conditions. Ahead of the second India vs. Australia Test, let’s take a look at the Indian bowlers who have claimed the most wickets in Day/Night Tests.

India’s highest wicket-takers in Pink Ball Test

India could make changes to the Playing XI for the Pink Ball Test, given the experience some players have in the Day/Night format. Among them, R Ashwin stands out, having taken the most wickets in this unique format with 18 scalps. Another spinner, Axar Patel, follows closely with 14 wickets in Pink Ball Tests.

Jasprit Bumrah, on whom India will rely heavily in the upcoming match due to the pacer-friendly conditions, is the most experienced among the fast bowlers in the current attack. So far, he has claimed 10 wickets in this format.
