When the India Cricket Team was busy taking the field for the IND vs PM XI Live, Virat Kohli was spotted sweating it hard in the nets. The ace batter had no intention of fielding and was much focused on his batting. The star batter took on Jasprit Bumrah in the nets in Canberra.
India is currently taking on Prime Minister XI in their practice game with the Pink Ball ahead of the IND vs AUS Pink Ball Test match in Adelaide. But Kohli was not interested in tiring himself out while fielding. He in fact faced Jasprit Bumrah on a green top in Canberra.
Virat Kohli ready for Pink Ball Test
India’s next big challenge is the Pink Ball Test in Adelaide and Virat Kohli is preparing himself for the challenge. India has a poor record in Adelaide with their only Pink Ball Test loss coming at this venue, 4 years ago. And thus Virat Kohli who roared back to form with a brilliant ton in Perth is ready to continue his form.
Coming to today’s game. Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to field first. But Kohli, wanting to make the best of his time batting, has been taking no action on the field. Instead after the toss, he immediately hit the nets facing Bumrah and his throwdown.
It can be understood that Kohli will be desperate to mount big runs for his team as India aims a clean sweep against the Aussies to automatically qualify for the WTC Finals.
