Is James Anderson playing IPL 2025?

James Anderson was not bought by any team in the IPL 2025 as he withdrew his name on auction day, realizing that no team was willing to include the veteran in their squad. Anderson had set his base price at Rs. 1.25 crore ahead of the auction, but his name never came up for bidding, as it was absent from the auction list on the day.

Anderson has never participated in the IPL, so it would be a really special entry to the world’s biggest franchise tournament if he gets any buyers at the mega auction later this month in Saudi Arabia.

Anderson’s T20 Record

Anderson’s cricketing legacy is primarily built on his success in Test matches, with his T20 career being comparatively brief.
