Rishabh Pant has spent majority of his IPL career with the Delhi Capitals. The southpaw missed one edition of the tournament in 2023 after suffering a horrific car accident in December 2022 that left him sidelined until March 2024. He has been consistent with the bat for the franchise, with his best season coming in 2017 when he amassed 684 runs in that season.
Pant was one of the three players retained by DC ahead of the 2018 auction. While the team went on to retain him for the next two seasons, he replaced Shreyas Iyer as captain in 2021. Reports have already suggested that CSK would heavily bid on Pant in IPL 2025 auction. Now it remains to be seen what happens to the southpaw when he goes under the hammer should DC decide to release him.
