The IPL 2025 Auction began with India bowler Arshdeep Singh, who was listed at a base price of INR 2 Cr. He was bagged by SRH initially for 15.75 Cr, but then was RTMed by PBKS for 18 Cr. Next on their list was Shreyas Iyer, that Punjab bagged for 26.75 Cr, the second most expensive player in the history of IPL.
The team threw in a major surprise when they over-paid for leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. They paid 18 Cr for the bowler who has 205 wickets in the IPL. PBKS were lucky to get PBKS for only Glenn Maxwell for only 4.5 Cr.

PBKS Purse Left for IPL 2025 Auction
After bagging Arshdeep Singh for 18 Cr, Yuzvendra Chahal (18 Cr), and Shreyas Iyer for 26.75 Cr, PBKS were left with 47.75 Cr in their purse. Another 4.5 Cr to Glenn Maxwell, it brought down their purse to 43.25 Cr.
