Hundreds of people were unable to log in to JioCinema to watch the IPL 2025 mega auction, taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The situation left fans furious, especially given JioCinema’s history of technical glitches — from the FIFA World Cup in 2022 to IPL matches, the platform has often struggled to provide the best experience.
Many social media users shared screenshots of JioCinema’s live stream page, showing an error message that read: “Something went wrong. Error message 419. Learn more at our help centre.” The same issue persisted when users attempted to log in, further adding to the frustration.
