Karnataka keeper-batter KL Rahul’s dreams of reuniting with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) were dashed after he was picked up by DC for Rs 14 cr in IPL 2025 auction. The former LSG skipper, who had expressed desire to return to RCB after being released by his previous franchise, found himself bagged by Delhi Capitals.
KL Rahul sold to DC for Rs 14 cr
RCB started the bidding process for KL Rahul but dropped out of the race as the bid neared Rs 10 crore. The final biding war saw DC prevail as CSK decided to say no along with KKR. LSG were given the option to use the Right to Match (RTM) card which they refused to use. KL Rahul will now replace Rishabh Pant as keeper-batter in DC and can also be their next captain.
