Hyderabad pacer Mohamed Siraj was bagged by for Rs 12.25 cr in IPL 2025 auction. The bowler was released by RCB ahead of the mega-auction after being associated with the team for a long time. Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were involved in a bidding war for Siraj until the latter dropped out shortly before the bid crossed Rs 10 cr mark. Rajasthan Royals (RR) then entered the bidding war with GT.

RR and GT’s bidding war for Siraj saw the bid for the bowler go up from his base price of Rs 2 cr to Rs 12.25 cr. With RR pulling out of the bidding war, GT managed to secure the services of Siraj for Rs 12.25 cr. Surprisingly, RCB did not even want to bid for the pacer and obviously refused to use the Right to Match (RTM) card for their former pacer.
