Five-time champions are all set with their INR 45 crores in the bag, looking ready for the IPL 2025 mega auction happening in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Over the years, Mumbai Indians is one of the teams that has mostly made successful purchases, and this is the reason why they have big names. If we look in detail, we’ll see they believe in creating superstars, the best examples being Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya, who joined the team as emerging youngsters but became blue-eyed boys for the Indian team. Now, with the IPL 2025 mega auction coming, they will look to revamp things once again. How many players can MI buy at the IPL 2025 auction?

Since MI already has some star players, having retained five, they now have 20 spots to fill. Each team can have a maximum of 25 players and a minimum of 18 on its roster. Going with the maximum limit, MI has 20 names to add. Also, as all the retained players in MI’s list are Indian, the team can include eight overseas players and 12 Indians to complete their squad.

IPL 2025 auction live stream

The IPL mega auction is scheduled to take place on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, starting at 3:30 PM IST on November 24. Fans can watch the auction live on Star Sports or stream it on the JioCinema OTT platform via the app or website. Meanwhile, the IPL 2025 season is set to begin on March 14, 2025, with the final showdown scheduled for May 25.
