Australia, facing India in the 1st Test in Perth, fell to their second-lowest home score against India, getting all out for 104 on Saturday.

Australia scored their second-lowest innings total against India on their home soil. On Saturday, during the second day of the India vs Australia 1st Test in Perth, the team was bundled out for a score of 104. To cap it off, Harshit Rana took the wicket of Mitchell Starc. Now India is has a 46 runs.

The record for the lowest score is 83 runs, which Australia scored in Melbourne in 1981. The second-lowest score before this was 107 in Sydney in 1947.

Starc was the top scorer, Rana surprised

Mitchell Starc scored the highest in the innings with 26 runs off 112 balls. Besides him, Alex Carey made 21 runs, the second-highest score. None of the top batters scored more than 11 runs, and six batters went out for single-digit scores. Bumrah took 5 wickets while Siraj took 2, and debutant Harshit Rana claimed 3 wickets. Josh Hazlewood was the only one not out at the end, with 7 runs off 32 balls.

Australia’s lowest score in Perth

Australia also recorded their lowest score at the Perth ground, getting bowled out for just 104 runs. Earlier, Australia has had better outings at this venue, achieving wins with scores such as 487 against Pakistan in December 2023, and registering wins with scores of 416 against New Zealand, along with 326 and 243 against India in December 2018.
