India cricket team captain Rohit Sharma is all set to miss IND vs AUS 1st Test in Perth as he reportedly wants to spend some time with his family. The Hitman was blessed with a baby by on Friday, marking the birth of his second child. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy series between India and Australia will commence from November 22 onwards.
Rohit Sharma to miss IND vs AUS 1st Test?
As per Times of India, Rohit Sharma intends to spend more time with his family and could hence miss the IND vs AUS 1st Test. The Indian opener had earlier stated that he was likely to miss the Test at Perth due to personal reasons. It remains to be seen when the Hitman would join the side in Down Under.
“Yes, Rohit Sharma will not be featuring in the first Test. He wants to spend some more time with his family and the new-born and the Indian cricket board completely respects his decision,” an official close to developments said.
