5 big players who will not feature in IPL 2025 mega auction

574 players will see where their IPL future is going, whereas there are a handful of names who will not feature in the IPL 2025 auction. See the full list.

A total of 574 players are all set to go under the hammer. Initially, 1,574 players had registered for the auction, but after shortlisting, over 500 players will now see their IPL future moves. With the list now released, we are set to see many big marquee names grab attention, from Jos Buttler to Rishabh Pant to KL Rahul, indicating how big  IPL 2025 mega auction will be. Meanwhile, we are all set to see 42-year-old James Anderson in IPL auction as well, as he has been shortlisted for the auction. While these names are gaining attention, some big names will not feature in the IPL 2025 mega auction. The first and foremost among them is England speedster Jofra Archer. Also, Australia’s emerging star Cameron Green will also not be featuring in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Green’s absence is understandable, as he recently underwent surgery for a long-term solution to a lower-back stress fracture, which will keep him out of action for at least six months.

IPL 2025 Mega Auction date and time

IPL fans, who were looking for date and time details, now we have clarification regarding the schedule and other crucial details. Jeddah will host the IPL 2025 mega auction on November 24 and 25, with a total of 574 players going under the hammer, including 366 from India, 208 from overseas, and three from Associate nations. Out of the 330 uncapped players, 318 are Indian, while 12 are international. Teams will look to fill 204 available spots, including 70 for overseas players, as they strengthen their squads for the new season.
