Haryana’s pacer Anshul Kamboj claimed all 10 wickets in a single innings against Kerala during their Ranji Trophy 2024/25 round five match held in Rohtak on Friday. On Day 3 of the fifth-round Ranji Trophy clash in Lahli, the former Mumbai Indians pacer tore through Kerala’s top order. He dismissed all four of Kerala’s half-centurions before tea, reaching his milestone of 50 First-Class wickets in just his 19th game.

With incredible figures of 10/49, Kamboj became only the third bowler in Ranji Trophy history to achieve this feat. The other two bowlers are Bengal’s Premangshu Chatterjee (10/20) and Rajasthan’s Pradeep Sundaram (10/78). Previously, the best innings figures for a Haryana bowler were held by Joginder Sharma, who took eight wickets against Vidarbha in the 2004/05 season.
At stumps the previous day, Kamboj had already picked up eight wickets. On the first morning over, he bowled out Basil Thampi for his ninth and then dismissed Shoun Roger, sealing his tenth wicket and bowling out Kerala for 291. Kamboj’s final figures were an impressive 30.1-9-49-10.

Sixth Indian bowler to take 10-wicket haul in First-class
Kamboj’s achievement made him only the sixth Indian to claim a 10-wicket haul in First-Class cricket, joining leg-spinning legends like Anil Kumble, Subhash Gupte, and Debasis Mohanty.
Fresh off representing India A in the ACC Emerging Asia Cup in Oman, Kamboj also shone in the Duleep Trophy with a remarkable eight-wicket haul, becoming just the third pacer to do so in the tournament.

IPL debut for Kamboj with MI
After an impressive domestic season, Kamboj was signed by the Mumbai Indians for IPL 2024, where he played three matches and took two wickets. He also played a key role in Haryana’s Vijay Hazare Trophy win, taking 17 wickets across 10 matches.
