Gujarat Titans have appointed former India keeper-batter Parthiv Patel as the assistant and batting coach ahead of IPL 2025. Patel will join head coach Ashish Nehra among the support staff ahead of the next season. A report had earlier claimed that Parthiv Patel was likely to replace Gary Kirsten as the latter had departed to become Pakistan’s white-ball coach following IPL 2024.

Parthiv Patel was a part of Mumbai Indians’ scouting team for the last four years. His shift to GT is the exact opposite of what happened with Hardik Pandya ahead of IPL 2024 when the latter was traded to the five-time champions in a shocking move. Parthiv Patel was an IPL veteran before moving on to the coaching setup, having amassed 2848 runs at a strike rate of 120.78.
