PKL 2024: A look at players struggling with poor performances this season

In PKL 11, key players like Parteek Dahiya and Pardeep Narwal are grappling with poor form, impacting their teams and raising hopes for a comeback.

The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 11 is getting exciting, as we have already witnessed some thrilling matches and star players showcasing their skills on the mat. However, this season, a few renowned players have not lived up to their reputations, leaving fans and their teams hoping for a turnaround. Let’s take a look at the players who have performed poorly in the PKL 11 so far.

Parteek Dahiya (Gujarat Giants)

Parteek Dahiya of the Gujarat Giants is one of the big players facing challenges this season. Despite being a versatile player who excels as both a raider and a defender, Parteek is struggling to find his form. In the past, he dazzled fans by scoring 141 points in 20 matches last season and an impressive 183 points in 19 games the year before.

However, this season he has managed only 18 points in five matches. With the Gujarat Giants sitting at the bottom of the table, Parteek’s poor performance is a concern for the team. Fans hope he can rediscover his magic on the mat and help lift the Giants from their current dilemma.

Pardeep Narwal (Bengaluru Bulls)

Pardeep Narwal, the iconic raider and a celebrated figure in PKL history has also had a rocky start with his new team, Bengaluru Bulls. Known for his fearsome raids, Pardeep’s current stats are not in line with his legendary status. Scoring only 28 points in 6 matches, he finds himself out of the top-10 raiders this season. His ongoing recovery from an injury might offer an explanation, and fans eagerly wait for his comeback, hoping for flashbacks of the unstoppable force he once was.

Sunil Kumar (U Mumba)

Sunil Kumar of U Mumba has been another key player struggling with form. A tough defender, Sunil has found it challenging to adjust to his new teammates this year. So far, he has accumulated only 15 points in seven matches.

In previous seasons, his ability to raid during crucial situations added a dynamic edge to his team’s play, but this aspect has been missing recently. Fans of U Mumba are eagerly waiting for Sunil to regain his confidence and contribute to the team’s defensive strategies more and more.

Rahul Sethpal (Haryana Steelers)

Haryana Steelers’ star defender Rahul Sethpal is also facing a dip in performance. Last season, Rahul displayed an impressive tackle strike rate, securing 76 points in 23 games. Unfortunately, this season has been a different story, with Rahul scoring just 12 points in five matches. As a defender crucial to his team’s success, his form will be important for the Steelers to improve their standings.
