In the video, a fan can be seen mimicking Yuvraj Singh’s signature style, from his effortless pull shots to his thunderous sixes, bringing to life the cricketing moments that have become legendary over the years. Yuvraj, known for his powerful and graceful batting technique, especially his historic six sixes in an over against England in the 2007 T20 World Cup, was clearly moved by the fan’s dedication.
Speaking about Yuvraj Singh’s international career, the Southpaw retired from international cricket in 2019 as he pulled the curtain down on a 19-year career. The pugnacious left-hander, who also bowled orthodox left-arm spin, has played 40 Tests, 111 One-day Internationals (ODI) and 58 T20 Internationals (T20I) for India.
Even in his early years, India won their first ever Under-19 World Cup in 2000, thanks to star performer Yuvraj Singh. His all-round performance made him the Player of the Tournament award and a call-up to the national squad.
The World Cup 2011 turned into a dream tournament for Yuvraj Singh. He scored 362 runs in nine matches at a staggering average of 90.50 with one century and four half-centuries.
He also impressed with the ball, claiming 15 wickets in the tournament, including two in the final played at the Wankhede, as India scripted an emphatic victory in the final clash and lifted the World Cup after a gap of 28 years.
