‘Crorepati’ Rinku Singh buys bungalow in Aligarh after IPL 2025 retention

Rinku Singh has become a 'crorepati' after being retaied KKR for Rs. 13 crore, their highest retention for IPL 2025.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 retention has turned the gas cylinder supplier’s son Rinku Singh into a crorepati, as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have retained him for Rs. 13 crore, the highest retention for IPL 2025. The all-rounder has bought a luxurious bungalow in Aligarh with this significant boost in his income.

A photo of Rinku receiving the keys to his new home, alongside his family, has been circulating on social media. Rinku purchased a lavish bungalow in his hometown of Aligarh after being retained by KKR for an impressive Rs. 13 crore. He was KKR’s top retention, followed by Varun Chakravarthy (Rs. 12 crore), Sunil Narine (Rs. 12 crore), Andre Russell (Rs. 12 crore), and Ramandeep Singh (Rs. 4 crore).

Rinku Singh’s successu story

Rinku Singh’s father, Khanchand Singh, used to deliver LPG cylinders in Aligarh. Despite Rinku’s breakthrough IPL 2023 season, when he urged his father to rest, Khanchand has continued his work. Initially signed by KKR for Rs. 50 lakh, Rinku’s price rose to Rs. 55 lakh in IPL 2024. However, after his stellar performance, KKR made him their top priority for IPL 2025, retaining him for a remarkable Rs. 13 crore. With this significant income, Rinku has bought a beautiful new home for his family, aiming to provide them with a luxurious lifestyle.

Rinku Singh stats in IPL

The 2023 IPL season proved to be a turning point for Rinku Singh. Across 14 matches, he amassed 474 runs, boasting an impressive average of 59.25 and a strike rate of 149.52, including four fifties. That season also saw him pull off a thrilling win for KKR by hitting five consecutive sixes off Yash Dayal against Gujarat Titans at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, snatching victory from the brink of defeat.
