Misery continues for Neymar Jr. Having just made his return for Al Hilal after suffering a major ACL injury, the Brazilian superstar picked up a fresh hamstring injury. While there is still time remaining, Neymar will have to recover fast if he can be fit for his side’s clash in the coming days.

Neymar missed around 12 months of action recently. After his move from PSG to Saudi giants Al Hilal, the former Brazil captain suffered a torn ACL injury. Against Esteghlal, Al Hilal inflicted a 3-0 win. Neymar came from the bench in the 58th minute and had to be subbed off with 3 minutes remaining from normal time.

Fresh injury for Neymar – Major concerns for Al Hilal

As Al Hilal dispatched the Iranian side, it was the former Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic whose brilliant hattrick sealed full points for the side in the AFC Champions League Elite tournament.

Neymar picked up a hamstring injury while stretching to receive a ball in the penalty region. Currently, Neymar Jr is not registered for the Saudi Pro League after being absent with injury for over a year. In Group B of AFC Champions Elite, Al Hilal currently tops the charts with 4 wins from 4 games.

As far as the Saudi Pro League is concerned, Neymar’s Al Hilal is placed at the top spot with 25 points from 9 games with Al Itihad second. Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr is placed third.
