In a rather uneventful day for cricket fans all over the world, nothing much happened, as far as Team India is concerned. A lot of experts continued to vent their ire, over Rohit Sharma & Co’s 0-3 defeat against New Zealand, which was much-deserved. The speculations over the axing of Virat Kohli and Rohit continued in full swing as well, but tbh, not much can be said about that for now. So, let’s just jump to the headlines, that made news on Monday.
Make Jasprit Bumrah the skipper for IND vs AUS Tests
Ex-India skipper Sunil Gavaskar was perhaps right when he said, that if Rohit is to miss the first BGT Test, and Jasprit Bumrah is to lead in his absence, then the latter should be persisted with, for the entire series. He also said, that Rohit can well join the team later, but then after 0-3 loss against New Zealand, Indian team needs a leader for the entire tour.
Ro-Ko failure looks inevitable Down Under
As per stats, Rohit and Virat were poor against the spinners in the IND vs NZ series. Rohit averaged only 10, and Virat only 13 against their slower bowlers. That means, even Nathan Lyon will pose a big threat to the Ro-Ko duo, who have been down with poor form now in Tests.
RCB should target Bhuvi and Harshal Patel
When it comes to IPL Auction, it is all speculation for the moment. No one knows, where the players will end up. But then we surely know, which players could work well for certain franchises. That way, RCB should focus on bagging the likes of Harshal Patel and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Both the pacers were released by their respective franchises, and could be great value addition to the team.
