Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will be on a desperate hunt for a new captain and star players at the IPL 2025 auction. As the team aims to hit the reset button while trying to end their IPL trophy drought, there are two players who are up for the grabs and will go under the hammer in late November. One is a player who has been previously associated with RCB – “son of the soil” KL Rahul. The other keeper-batter whom the team can target is Rishabh Pant.
RCB to target Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul in IPL 2025 auction?
RCB conducted a mock auction on Sunday which saw the team inviting fans to participate in the process. The auction saw majority of the fans entering a bidding war, specifically for Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul. While Rahul has already expressed his desire to reunite with the franchise for IPL 2025, Pant could be a valuable addition to the side, if they manage to bag him in the auction.

The team has ruled out handing captaincy back to Virat Kohli at the moment, which means that they will need a new skipper. KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant will enter the auction after having captained LSG and DC in multiple seasons. RCB could very well find an answer to their keeper-batter & captain conundrum in either Pant or Rahul easily. Provided, they are ready to spend the big bucks.

Pant, with 3284 runs, and KL Rahul with 4683 runs are the apt choices for RCB in order to strengthen their side and provide a leader with a vision.
