Below is all the details that you need to know after the IPL 2025 Retentions. Get list of all retained players and much more.

Phew, that was some Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 retentions. This year’s IPL 2025 auction is certainly going to be a “mega” one, with several world-class players ready to enter the auction. From the likes of Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul to Yuzvendra Chahal and Mohammed Shami, franchises will be licking their lips in order to get as many stars as possible. All these players, part of the 577-player tally will go under the hammer at the IPL 2025 mega auction in Jeddah on November 24-25.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) exercised the new ‘uncapped player’ rule for their icon MS Dhoni, who will continue playing the IPL. At the Mumbai Indians (MI), Rohit Sharma took a pay cut as the 5-time champions retained their five core Indian players. However, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) will enter the IPL 2025 mega auction with the biggest purse (Rs 110.5 crore) as they retained just two batters, Shashank Singh and Prabhsimran Singh. On that note, we have curated an explainer for the IPL 2025 retentions for you. Catch all the list of retained players, released players, purse left for IPL franchises, RTM cards left & confirmed captains.
