Pakistan is hosting the ICC Champions Trophy next year, but it is unlikely that the Indian national cricket team will visit the nation.India hasn’t been to Pakistan since the 2008 Asia Cup. During the 2012–13 season, India hosted the two teams’ most recent bilateral series.

When is the ICC Champions Trophy 2025?

The PCB has drafted a schedule for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 from February 19 to March 9. The match between India and Pakistan is scheduled for 1 March.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Venue

The Champions Trophy is scheduled to be hosted by Pakistan, with venues in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. However, due to political unrest, India is unlikely to travel to Pakistan. As a solution, the ICC could introduce a hybrid model similar to the Asia Cup, where India’s matches would take place in another country.

Lahore is set to host seven matches, including the final. Karachi’s National Stadium will host the opening match and one of the semi-finals, totaling three matches. Rawalpindi will host five matches, including the other semi-final.

Champions Trophy 2025 Format

In the group stage, each team will compete against every other team in their group in a single round-robin format. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals. The semi-final matches will determine the finalists, who will then compete for the championship in the grand final.

In the previous edition, the tournament was held in a one-day format. The upcoming edition is also anticipated to be in the ODI format.
