Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa is set to captain the Indian team at the Hong Kong Sixes 2024 tournament. Known for his aggressive style, Uthappa expressed both excitement and honour at leading the Indian squad, as he and his team gear up for the event.
“I’m very excited to be a part of the Hong Kong Sixes 2024, and it’s an honour to lead the Indian team. Some great cricketing action coming your way on November 1, 2 & 3,” Uthappa shared.
Experienced Indian Lineup for the tournament
India’s squad boasts a mix of seasoned players, including Kedar Jadhav, Manoj Tiwary, Stuart Binny, Shreevats Goswami, Bharat Chipli, and Shahbaz Nadeem. Both Chipli and Goswami expressed their joy at representing India in the high-speed format of the game.
“It’s a great feeling to represent India in the Hong Kong Sixes 2024, which promises some nail-biting encounters and entertaining performances,” said Chipli, highlighting the thrill of the tournament.

Stuart Binny Ready to face top International talent
All-rounder Stuart Binny, another crucial player for India, shared his eagerness to face some of the best international players. “Thrilled to represent India in Hong Kong Sixes 2024 and looking forward to playing against some of the best players in the world,” he said.
Hong Kong sixes returns after Seven-Year Hiatus
After a seven-year hiatus, the Hong Kong Sixes returns on November 1 at the Tin Kwong Road Cricket Ground. The tournament, which will run until November 3, features 12 teams playing in six-a-side matches. Hosts Hong Kong will open the tournament against South Africa, while a much-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan will take place on Day 1.
Hong Kong’s captain, Nizakhat Khan, called on fans to get ready for the event’s return. “Get ready, Hong Kong cricket fans, as Hong Kong Sixes is back after seven years,” he said.
The stage is set for three days of thrilling, fast-paced cricket action with teams from around the world vying for the title.
