MS Dhoni reunites with CSK veteran Suresh Raina, See pics

Former India and CSK all-rounder Suresh Raina met MS Dhoni on October 29 (Tuesday). The Southpaw uploaded a picture of himself standing alongside MS Dhoni, as they both shared a smile in the picture. Both Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni share a good friendship and have been teammates for years playing for India and for CSK in the IPL.

Raina retired from IPL after the 2022 season as one of the leading run-getters in the T20 league. The southpaw scored 5,528 runs in 205 IPL games, including a century and 39 fifties. Raina won the 2011 ODI World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy under Dhoni’s captaincy for India. The duo shares a great friendship and retired from international cricket on the same date August 15, 2020.

Meanwhile, Dhoni has yet to pull the curtains down on his legendary career. The 43-year-old is the favorite to play the upcoming 2025 edition after the BCCI and IPL governing council tweaked the uncapped player rule. Apart from winning five IPL trophies as captain, Dhoni has amassed 5243 runs in 264 IPL matches, comprising 24 half-centuries.

Will MS Dhoni play IPL 2025?

MS Dhoni will play in the IPL 2025, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) CEO Kasi Viswanathan confirmed the same on Saturday (October 26). The declaration from Viswanathan comes a day after the former India captain expressed his desire to enjoy playing in his “last few years” of his career.

“When he is ready, what else (do) we want. We are happy,” franchise CEO Kasi Viswanathan told Cricbuzz on Saturday. CSK management had been waiting for a confirmation from there former captain since the last few months.
