The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is poised to appoint Mohammad Rizwan as captain of Pakistan’s white-ball cricket teams, with Geo News sources indicating that the official announcement is expected soon.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi reportedly held a crucial meeting with Rizwan, during which it was decided that the wicketkeeper-batter would take over as captain for both the ODI and T20I formats.
Rizwan’s appointment comes after head coach Gary Kirsten and the national selectors backed the idea, recognising his leadership experience and consistent performances. Alongside Rizwan, all-rounder Salman Ali Agha is set to step into the role of vice-captain for the white-ball squads.
