The Master has his apprentice. And Ravindra Jadeja shocked everyone with a runout ‘out of nowhere’. A sensational no-look runout was all that Jadeja produced to dismiss William ORourke and bring an end to New Zealand’s second innings proceedings. Fans went gaga as they saw the runout which brought back memories of such brilliance from former India captain MS Dhoni.
India had a good start on Day 3 of the IND vs NZ 2nd Test in Pune. It was the Ravindra Jadeja show who scalped three early wickets to destroy the lower order of the Kiwis. But the last wicket to end the innings of the visitors was special. Credit also goes to a brilliant throw from Washington Sundar.
Ravindra Jadeja x MS Dhoni
AS if not too bothered with the throw, Jadeja didn’t show any signs of hurry or panic. When the ball came to him, he just guided it to the stumps without even looking at it. This threw Kiwi pacer William ORourke into complete surprise and he had to make the long way back to the pavilion.
Time and again in the past India Cricket Team fans have been regaled with some brilliant and mindboggling run outs – courtesy of MS Dhoni. And with Ravindra Jadeja having a strong relation with the former captain, it is only obvious that he has learnt it from the best.
