Ishan Kishan finally gets a call-up for India A. The ace southpaw is all slated to tour for India A in the shadow tour of Australia. Ishan Kishan has been finally rewarded with a call-up for India A after his exploits in domestic cricket. Earlier, this year Ishan Kishan was snubbed off his BCCI Central Contract for failing to play domestic cricket.
Post IPL 2024, Ishan Kishan remained dedicated and took part in domestic cricket, eager to make a return to the India Cricket Team. He took part in the Duleep Trophy where he slammed a fine century. However, in the Ranji Trophy 2024, he was appointed the captain of Jharkhand.
Ishan Kishan gets India A callup
Kishan’s first Ranji Trophy match didn’t yield much positive result where he managed to score 21 and 16 respectively. But in the second match against Railways, he displayed his absolute batting prowess. The destructive southpaw hammered a brilliant ton to set the pace for his side.
And now he has got the call-up to be the number 1 keeper for India A. The other wicketkeeper in the squad is young Bengal and Delhi Capitals keeper Anhishek Porel. It is expected that Kishan would slot in behind the stumps as an experienced campaigner.
Keen to make a comeback in the India Cricket Team, Ishan Kishan now has 3 matches to further impress. India A will play 2 first-class matches against Australia A before playing a three-day intra-squad game against Team India.
