The South African pacer Kagiso Rabada has achieved a majr record in the first Test match against Bangladesh by becoming the fastest Test bowler to reach 300 wickets, having taken the fewest number of balls to achieve this feat on October 21 at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka. He is also the third-fastest bowler to accomplish this milestone in terms of matches played.
Rabada surpassed the legendary Pakistani pacer Waqar Younis’ who had taken 12,602 balls to take 300 Test wickets. Rabada achieved the record in 11,187 balls.
Kagiso Rabada’s landmark wicket was Bangladesh wicketkeeper batter Mushfiqur Rahim, whom he dismissed by toppling his middle stump, marking his 300th Test wicket. A few overs later, he claimed the wicket of wicketkeeper-batsman Litton Das.
