Just a day after the Kolkata Derby, Mohammedan SC hosted Kerala Blasters at the Kishore Bharati Stadium. The Yellow Army staged a stunning 2-1 comeback to leave the City of Joy with all three points. But the game has been marred with bad taste owing to the crowd violence that erupted in the latter part of the game.
The game was halted for a minimum of five minutes after Mohammedan SC fans went on to throw bottles on the field and on the away fans. The Black Panthers have faced criticism all across social media for this incident. Furthermore, Kerala Blasters have also lodged an official complaint with the Indian Super League to enquire about the matter.

Mohammedan Fans disrupt ISL encounter
The breaking point of the encounter came when the away Kerala Blasters fans went on to celebrate their goal. Now this wasn’t taken kindly by the home supporters who went on to throw bottles, shoes, and rocks at the away fans. The away fans section was also sealed and cordoned off for some time for the safety of the away fans.
These incidents bring a bad taste for Indian Football. The frustrations for the home fans increased when Kerala Blasters went on to stage a mighty comeback. The chaos in the stands continued as stones were peltered. The last straw came when firecrackers were left off in the stands, thereby causing major security concerns. Under such conditions, the game was stopped and the players were eventually escorted from the pitch.
Kerala Blasters then went on to claim that they had contacted the authorities in Kolkata to know more about the situation. Furthermore, the team has also officially lodged a complaint to the league for this distasteful incident.
