When Anushka Sharma said Virat Kohli is a ‘shant’ person off-field

Virat Kohli has different persona on-field and off-field. Anushka says that he is a calmer person off-field.

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are always in the news for their love life. The two share a great bond and that’s something fans love. Virat Kohli is known for his aggressive nature on the field and is often seen losing his calm. However, when he is spotted off-field, he is rather calm and nice to the paparazzi and fans. He gets clicked with his fans and his wife and actress Anushka Sharma also agrees to the same.

During a 2019 interview with Filmfare, Anushka Sharma said, “He’s one of the calmest persons I’ve met. Off the field, he’s so relaxed. You can ask my friends, my team. He’s like that on field only because he’s so passionate. He’s not aggressive in real life. That’s only his demeanour on the field. He’s the most shaant person I know. I look at him and I’m like, ‘Wow! You’re so chill.’”

During the same interview, when she was asked how she and Virat Kohli manage to spend time together. She said, “we didn’t know what it was like. We’ve been together for almost six years. And it’s always been about matching schedules and flights. During the first six months of our marriage, we spent 21 or 22 days together. And these 22 days mind you, were not ‘free’ days. Either I’d be in a meeting or he was going for practice or a match. When he’d drop in to see me on the set, I’d be busy shooting.  We were hardly together in Mumbai. In fact, the staff at home gets so happy whenever they see us together at home.”

Anushka and Virat got married in Italy on December 11, 2017. Their wedding was an intimate affair and reportedly, there were only 20-30 people who attended the wedding. In 2021, the couple welcomed their first child and named her Vamika Kohli and in 2024, the couple was blessed with their second child and named him Akaay Kohli.
