A section of fans chose to defend the India cricket team, pointing out that the inclement weather and the pitch being under the covers constantly went in favour of New Zealand. One particular fan was so sad about India getting bowled out for 46 that he apparently “cried” on the spot.

New Zealand ended the day 2 on 180/3, with an overall lead of 134. Devon Conway led the scoring for the visitors, and slammed a quickfire 91. Coming to the bowling and the fielding department, the team wasn’t good either. None of the pacers, Bumrah or Siraj managed to bag a wicket while the three spinners etched out a wicket each.
