The defending Champions of the Indian Premier League (IPL), and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are yet to announce their changes in coaching staff. Gautam Gambhir moved away from the Kolkata outfits taking Abhishek Nayar and Ryan ten Doeschate. As per rumors, former Team India head coach Anil Kumble is set to join KKR and serve as assistant head coach to Chandrakanth Pandit.

But now, he is no longer a part of the team after becoming the head coach of the India Cricket Team. Furthermore, members of his support staff like Ryan ten Doeschate too followed suit into the national team. This has raised considerable questions.

A major question remains if captain Shreyas Iyer will be retained by the team or not? As for the foreigners, it remains to be seen if the highest price player in IPL history Mitchell Starc is also retained by Shah Rukh Khan and Co or not.
As per rumors, Sunil Narine and Andre Russell are the two fixed names. These two Caribbean superstars are the two names that make the cut for retention. The KKR side is unwilling to part ways with the all-rounders who are considered to be an integral part of the squad.
Despite getting old, the Kolkata outfits will be spilling the cash in retaining these superstars. On the other hand, ace finisher Rinku Singh is also in the mixes. The destructive hitter is also considered to a core part of the team and KKR would be unwilling to put the player in the mega auction.
