Earlier, he narrowly missed out on a well-deserved century in the Irani Cup tie against Rest of India. The Indian top-order suffered a horrific collapse on Day 2 of the 1st Test at the M Chinnaswamy stadium. Only Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant managed to score double-digit figures in the game while the rest of the batting order perished cheaply.
