The Hockey India League (HIL) is back seven-year hiatus, with the player auction for its sixth season taking place on Sunday and Monday (Otober 13th and 14th). Among the top earners were India captain Harmanpreet Singh, his deputy Hardik Singh, and promising forward Abhishek Nain, all of whom attracted bids exceeding Rs 70 lakhs. A notable highlight of the event was the presence of former Indian goalkeeper PR Sreejesh, who serves as the Director and Assistant Coach of the Delhi SG Pipers. The team made the highest bid for Indian forward Shamsher Singh, securing him for Rs 42 lakhs.
