Fortnitemares 2024: Puzzle Pieces and Takeovers on Twitch

Epic Games has introduced a new interactive element to the popular battle royale game, Fortnite, as part of the annual Fortnitemares event. The Fortnitemares Twitch extension allows viewers to collect puzzle pieces while watching participating content creators on Twitch. Completing the puzzle will reward players with The Carver’s Challenge Loading Screen.

How Fortnitemares Twitch extension works?

  • Watch participating Fortnite streamers on Twitch.
  • Click on puzzle pieces that appear on the stream to collect them.
  • Complete the puzzle to earn the Loading Screen.
  • Link your Twitch account to your Epic account to receive the reward.

Takeovers and Leaderboards:

  • Channels can initiate a “Takeover” by collecting a certain number of puzzle pieces.
  • Takeovers involve raiding another channel’s stream with pumpkins.
  • Viewers can stop the Takeover by spamming the heart emote in chat.
  • The extension also features leaderboards that track puzzle piece collection.

The Fortnitemares Twitch extension will be available until October 20, 2024.

How to initiate a Takeover as a creator?

  1. Click on your Twitch profile icon in the upper-right corner.
  2. Click on Video Producer.
  3. Click on Stream Manager in the left menu.
  4. Click on the grey tile with the puzzle piece on it. If you don’t see that tile, make sure to reload the page.
  5. This will open the streamer panel, where you can trigger a Takeover (once enough puzzle pieces are collected on your channel), see the Takeover history, and see your channel’s leaderboard.
