The India Cricket Team inflicted a stunning whitewash on Bangladesh as the hosts secured a 3-0 win over the visitors. And the captain of the team, Suryakumar Yadav was particularly very happy with the performance of his boys. He went on to laud the camaraderie of the team and said that no one is bigger than the team.
Suryakumar Yadav as been adjudged as the new captain of the Indian T20I squad after the retirement of Rohit Sharma from the shortest format of the game. SKY claimed that he is happy with what they have achieved with the team. Furthermore he added that he wanted to have a selfless team where everyone would go on to enjoy other’s performances.
“I think we’ve achieved a lot as a team. Had said wanted to have selfless cricketers and want to be a selfless team, enjoy each others’ performances. That camaraderie is coming off. Gauti bhai said the same thing before the series that no one is bigger than the team, no matter you are on 49 or 99, you have to hit the ball out of the field,” said SKY after the match.
Suryakuamr Yadav pointed out that a player needs to play for the team and not for himself. He further explained that if a player is on 49 or 99, he needs to go for a six if he gets that kind of a delivery. And he praised Sanju Samson for doing exactly that.
“That’s what Sanju did today. We have to be flexible when it comes to batting and bowling. Bowlers who can have to chip in. Batters have to be flexible and their performances were commendable. (Areas of improvement) Just maintain the good habits on the field. Just be the same,” SKY concluded.
