Young cricket sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi may be forced to change his state. The 13-year-old prodigy’s name was not included by the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) in their list for the opening two matches of the Ranji Trophy. His coach Manoj Ojha has claimed that playing from Bihar won’t be a good choice since no one cares.
The young batter came into the limelight after slamming after hammering a magnificent century for India Under-19’s Youth Test against Australia. Currently, the youngster is still in Chennai, however, the BCA has asked him to join the team before the second match in Kolkata.

“The Youth Test match between India and Australia ended a day early and that’s why we didn’t pick him for the match in Lahli. It would have been a big hassle for him to travel all the way from Chennai to Rohtak. But he will join the team in Kolkata for the second match,” BCA president Rakesh Tiwary told The Indian Express.
Other states have reportedly shown their interest in taking on the youngster. And this has prompted the young Southpaw to think about switching his states. Furthermore, his own coach believes that the BCCI doesn’t care much about cricketers coming from Bihar, so the ideal scene would be for him to leave Bihar and represent some other states.
“Bihar is not ideal for good cricketers. No one cares. The BCCI has stopped caring about it as well. It is getting difficult with every passing day. As a coach, I would want him to leave Bihar immediately to play for another state. I want top Ranji teams to give him an offer and he must take it. He should play for a state where he can be groomed, where he would be looked after. VVS Laxman rates him very highly and monitors his development, ” said, Vaibhav’s coach Manoj Ojha.
Manoj Ojha further claimed that he had previously requested Vaibhav’s father to switch bases to Jharkhand. However, that wasn’t possible back then. But the father is keen to provide the best infrastructure for the young sensation and watch his son play for the senior national team one day.
