Joe Root has etched his name as England’s ‘GOAT’ of Test cricket by becoming the leading run-scorer for England in red-ball cricket, surpassing Alastair Cook on Wednesday (October 9) in the 1st Test against Pakistan in Multan.
He broke Cook’s record for the most runs in Tests by an England batter, achieving a total of 12,473 runs after scoring 71* in the . He is now the fifth-highest run-scorer in Test cricket, following legends Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting, Jacques Kallis, and Rahul Dravid.
