The Indian women’s hockey team is gearing up for its opening match against Malaysia in the Women’s Asian Champions Trophy 2024, which will take place in Rajgir, Bihar, from November 11 to 20. All matches of the eighth edition of the Women’s Asian Champions Trophy will be held at the Rajgir Hockey Stadium. India’s first match will be against Malaysia on November 11, followed by a clash with Korea the next day.
The Indian women’s hockey team clinched the tournament title in 2016 and successfully defended it last year in Ranchi by defeating Japan in the final. After missing out on the Paris Olympics, this will be a major tournament for the women’s hockey team for the redevelopment of the unit.
